I Banned the Alarm Clock (Yes, Really)

I know what you’re thinking: “Girl, I have responsibilities. I can’t just wake up whenever I feel like it.”

But hear me out.

For years, I believed I needed that jarring alarm to be productive. The truth? It was starting my day in fight-or-flight mode. My nervous system was in stress before I even opened my eyes.

Now, I trust my body. I go to bed at a consistent time, and I naturally wake up between 6:30-7:30 AM. Some mornings it’s earlier, some a bit later. And that’s okay.

The soft life principle: Your body knows what it needs. When you’re well-rested and not operating in chronic stress, you’ll wake up naturally.

How to start: Set a gentle alarm as a backup if you’re nervous, but place it across the room. Commit to a consistent bedtime for two weeks. You’ll be shocked at how your body adjusts.
